To Add a wireless Mac Address to your Router for Window System
|
1. Finding Wireless Mac Address
- On the wireless computer that you want to add to the router, turn it on.
- Then click on START and then PROGRAMS or all programs, then go to ACCESSORIES to find COMMAND PROMPT and click on it.
- A different black screen will open. Then type ipconfig /all and hit enter key.
- A list of items will scroll up and you need to find the item which states Ethernet Adapter Wireless Network Connection then look for phycical address.
(example: 00-76-16-1D-BD-42). Write this down without the dashes.

Now you have the MAC/Physical Address Address

| 2. Inputting Physical Address to Router |
- On the computer that has a network cable connected to it and the router.
- Open your web browser (Internet Explorer, FireFox)
- Once it has loaded, in the Address Bar type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 and hit enter.
- There will be a log on screen that will load. For username type admin and for password type admin and hit enter.
- Once the router page opens look for a heading that says WIRELESS and clickon it.
- In a SUB HEADING you should see Wireless Mac Filter click on this.
- Then click on Edit Mac Filter List.
- A screen will open with boxes to add the address’s.
- Type in the address that you wrote down.
- Do not add dots or dashes.
- Once you have all the address you need, at the bottom of the page click on the Save Settings and then the wireless computer you added can access the internet.
