PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION
We give the same attention to the installation of a CB radio as we do to
the installation of an FM 2-way radio in a fire truck, ambulance or other
commercial vehicle. The unit is installed with your suggestions as to location
and our technician's recommendations. Antennas are checked with a wattmeter
to insure lowest reflected power and best performance. The vehicle is checked
for ignition noise and countermeasures are recommended to eliminate unwanted
noise. New radios are bench-checked before installation to insure that
they meet factory specs.
Did you know that over 90% of poor-performing CB radios can be traced
to faulty installation of the antenna? We do it RIGHT! And the result is
good performance from your CB radio.
REPAIRS
Our shop is fully-equipped to effect repairs on most makes and models.
We do not attempt repair if, in our opinion, the cost of repair would be
uneconomical. On many less expensive models, replacement would be more
cost-effective than repair. In any event, repairs are not undertaken until
you have been consulted. All repairs carry a 30 day warranty.
NOTE: CB RADIOS BY FEDERAL LAW HAVE A
MAXIMUM POWER OUTPUT OF 5 WATTS. WE DO NOT ILLEGALLY MODIFY CB RADIOS TO
PROVIDE HIGHER POWER OUTPUT and WE DO NOT SELL ILLEGAL POWER AMPLIFIERS.
A properly installed radio with a matched antenna will provide good
quality communication within the limits set by Industry-Canada.
