This is not to be confused with your wireless router you may be using in your home or business. This is a High Speed Internet connection which we provide to clients who do not have access to other types of High Speed service.
If you are having trouble connecting to the Internet follow these few troubleshooting tips:
- If you have more than 1 computer using the Internet connection, please check the other computer. If it is accessing the Internet, you have a problem with your network not the Internet connection.
- Your will have a Wireless bridge that is connected to an external antenna on your building. The wireless bridge should have a minimum of 3 lights on. Power, WAN and LAN.
- Do not use the Reset button on the Wireless Bridge! This will erase any programming that is on the Wireless Bridge and it will have to be reprogrammed. There may be a fee for reprogramming!
- Your Wireless Connection to ISP CANADA is made up of 2 parts; the Wireless Bridge connection and your Computer/Gateway router connection. The Wireless bridge (WAN) connection must to be made first. Then your Computer/Gateway router (LAN) connection can be made.
- Make sure the WAN light on your Wireless bridge is on. This light indicates a connection with our Internet.
- Make sure the LAN light is on. This will indicate a connection between the Wireless Bridge and your computer or Gateway router.
- If any of the above lights are not on then you should power down the Wireless Bridge for 10 Seconds and then power it back up.
- Should the light for the WAN connection not turn on, please call us at
519-660-6160.
- Should the LAN light not turn on, power down your Gateway router for 10 seconds. If you have no gateway router reboot your computer.
- If the LAN light still does not come on, please call us and we will try to assist you or give you guidance as to what to do next.
- If your Wireless bridge has additional lights, these will indicate that there is traffic using the connection. If there is no additional lights, the WAN or LAN lights will flicker when there is traffic on the connection.
If your are not able to use the Internet at this time please call ISP CANADA 519-660-6160
